SONGWON appoints its first Corporate Sustainability Officer

SONGWON Industrial Co., Ltd. announced today the appointment of Olivier Keiser as the organization's 1st Chief Sustainability Officer.

In this newly-created role, Keiser will lead the development of the organization’s global sustainability strategy and ensure that a sustainability framework is embedded and aligned in SONGWON’s corporate strategy and planning. He will report directly to the company’s CEO, Maurizio Butti and also serve on the Executive Committee.

Keiser, who has been with SONGWON since 2011, will continue to head the Global Procurement and ISL (international supply & logistics) teams and drive the sustainability focus in these areas relating to raw material sourcing, supply chain management etc. and alignment with SONGWON’s EHS standards.

Commenting on the appointment, Butti said: “SONGWON’s attention to corporate responsibility and sustainability has increased a great deal in recent years. Over the years, Olivier Keiser has demonstrated his leadership abilities in managing critical functions and I am confident that having someone of his caliber from within the organization driving our efforts will enable us to pursue SONGWON’s sustainability goals with maximum determination and effect.”
